MTN mCare program has been factored among the list of activities that will be implemented under the 2025 edition of 21 Days of Y’ello Care, officials have disclosed.
It is a digital health platform designed to offer convenient and accessible healthcare solutions to users.
As a medical insurance package, MTN Ghana after registration of beneficiaries via a smart phone will foot medical bills of beneficiaries for the first 2 to 3 months of subscription.
This intervention is aimed at bringing quality healthcare to the doorsteps of people living in rural areas.
Regions marked to benefit from the mCare through the 2025 Y’ello Care include the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Savannah, North East, Upper West and the Upper East.
This was disclosed by Madam Charity Akosua Darko, the Corporate Affairs Manager of MTN Ghana’s Northern Business District during the official launch of 2025 edition of Y’ello Care, a flagship employee volunteerism campaign, taking place from 1st to 21st June 2025.
Theme for this year’s version is “Connecting at the Roots.”
The MTN mCare provides a 24/7 accessibility, allowing beneficiaries to access healthcare services from anywhere.
Aside the mCare program, this year’s edition of the Y’ello Care offers other IT related activities that seek to address digital exclusion among vulnerable communities.
Beneficiary regions and key programs that will be implemented include;
Ashanti region
- Mobile phone repairs training
- ICT training through mobile vans
- Provision of uniform for needy pupils
Under the second activity, a van stuffed with computers will visit selected schools to offer students basic digital education.
Bono Region
- Mobile ICT Training
- mCare registration
Bono East and Ahafo Regions
- mCare registration
- Social Media Training and Content creation for artisans
Northern Region
- Smart Farming:
This is a special project which seeks to establish about 5000-acre farm.
Officials mentioned that women into farming have already been selected for this initiative.
Under this intervention, MTN staff in the northern region will be assigned to the farm and assist beneficiary farmers.
Savannah, North East and Upper West regions

Upper East Region

Addressing the media, Nii Adotey Mingle, Northern Sector General Manager of MTN Ghana said this year’s version is wholly digital and that all activities are digital ways MTN Ghana seeks to empower communities.
He told newsmen that through the 2025 Y’ello Care, they anticipate touching a large number of schools in beneficiary regions.
