Renowned Ghanaian business mogul Ibrahim Mahama has announced the addition of a new LTM 1450-8.1 mobile crane to the fleet of Engineers & Planners Co. Ltd (E&P), marking a major milestone in the company’s operations and the construction industry in West Africa.

Sharing the news on his official Facebook page, Mr. Mahama described the crane as “the latest addition to E&P’s fleet and the largest mobile crane in the company’s history.”

Manufactured by Liebherr, the LTM 1450-8.1 boasts an impressive 450-ton lifting capacity and features a seven-piece 85-meter telescopic boom, extendable with an additional 40-meter folding jib.
This powerful combination enables the crane to handle some of the heaviest loads in the industry, reaching extraordinary heights with precision and efficiency.
According to the statement, the crane will be deployed for a wide range of projects, including industrial, construction, civil engineering, and wind energy operations, wherever exceptional lifting power is needed.
The Liebherr-Ghana team extended their congratulations to E&P on acquiring what they described as the biggest mobile crane in West Africa, a feat that reinforces the company’s reputation for operational excellence and technological advancement.
Mr. Mahama’s post concluded with enthusiasm and pride in this significant achievement for Ghana’s engineering and construction sector.
