The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has declared a nationwide strike action, effective tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
This decision comes after the government’s failure to implement the new salary structure and other conditions of service, as agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding signed on January 19, 2022.
The leadership of CLOGSAG held an emergency meeting at their headquarters in Accra, resolving to commence the strike action nationwide.
The strike is a result of the government’s inability to meet the agreed-upon deadline of August 31, 2022, for implementing the new salary structure and conditions of service.
