The Prampram Traditional Council has called on the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), to express their heartfelt condolences to him and the Government of Ghana as the nation mourns the loss of eight personnel in the tragic military helicopter crash at Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region on August 6, 2025.

Led by Nene Tetteh Waka III, Paramount Chief and President of the Council, the delegation also congratulated the Minister on his appointment and formally invited him to grace the 2025 Prampram Homowo Grand Durbar, slated for Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Prampram Lorry Station.
This year’s celebration is themed “Culture to Deepen Our Identity and Drive Progress.”

Hon. Samuel Nartey George, with deep sorrow, recounted fond memories of the late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, reflecting on the invaluable support he had offered him throughout his political journey.
The Minister, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, further commended the Council for its commitment to cultural preservation and community development.
He pledged to support the successful organisation of the durbar and explore initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities for the youth.
“As a proud son of this land, I believe our culture is a powerful tool not only for preserving our history but also for driving socio-economic transformation. I look forward to joining the people of Prampram in celebrating our heritage and exploring new opportunities for our young people,” he said.
The visit also provided a platform for discussions on enhancing the durbar’s impact, securing potential sponsorships, and fostering stronger collaboration between the Ministry and the Council.
Nene Tetteh Waka III intimated that the Grand Durbar was one of the most significant events on the Prampram traditional calendar, expected to attract traditional rulers, government officials, and guests from across Ghana and beyond. It will feature traditional rites, cultural performances, and speeches highlighting heritage preservation, unity, and development.
He stressed that, the Minister’s presence would add prestige to the celebration and inspire the community, particularly the youth, while deepening ties between the people and government.
