Pastor Paul Atiemo Boahen of United Faith Tabernacle Church-Kwadaso has advised President Akufo-Addo to accept defeat and handover power peacefully to candidate who emerges winner of the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
“He should accept the electoral results in good faith even if it doesn’t go in favour of his party NPP and ensure that he is not influenced by any external or internal pressure or use incumbency to resort to foul means to retain the seat for NPP”.
The clergy stated in an interview with leakyghana.com that President Akufo-Addo has done much for the country especially his free education policy and that with the little months left ahead of him, he must ensure that nothing mars the beauty of his achievements.
“He must do everything within power to ensure a free and a fair election, before during and after 7th December, 2024. If it’s God’s will that NPP will retain governance it will be and if it’s God’s will that NDC or any other party must take over governance it will be”.
Pastor Paul Atiemo Boahen gave the foregoing counsel at a Church service held for the ordination of 6 local elders of the Church on Sunday, 14th April, 2024.
