Controversial Kumasi-based clergyman, St. Sark, has warned that his alleged neglect by the leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) could spell doom for the party.

In a bitter lamentation, he claimed that after his extensive efforts and spiritual interventions which he says contributed significantly to the party’s victory in the 2024 general elections, the NDC has sidelined him.

According to him, the party’s leadership no longer consults him for counsel on matters relating to the development of the country.

St. Sark made these remarks while addressing journalists at a highly charged press conference held at his church auditorium in South Suntreso, within the Bantama Constituency.

The General Overseer of Open Arms Ministry recalled that during the last general elections, no clergyman in Ghana toiled more than he did for the NDC.
The self-acclaimed “Spiritual President of Ghana” stated that he offered the party a litany of spiritual and strategic campaign recommendations, many of which were adopted and, according to him, culminated in the party’s historic victory.
“It was my effort that led to the humiliating defeat of Bawumia. You are now in power, yet you have neglected the office of the Spiritual President and are instead giving glory and thanks to clergymen who are nothing but members of occult societies,” he said.
He added that the party’s rise to power has rendered him irrelevant in the eyes of its leadership.
“You have power now, so I don’t matter anymore. Alright, I know all the developments in the party. I am just watching you,” he added.
St. Sark stressed that his grievances are not financially motivated.
“I don’t need money from the NDC because I am okay with what God has given me. What I want is for the party to consult me on major decisions they take; otherwise, doom will befall them,” he warned.
