

The Project coordination unit of the Ghana digital acceleration Project GDAP on Thursday November 20th hosted a high-powered World Bank delegation led by Michel Rogy, Regional Practice Director for Digital Development; Jana Kunicová, Program Manager for Digital Transformation; and Steve Davenport, Senior Digital Governance Specialist on behalf of Sector Minister Sam Nartey George.

Day 1 of their mission included engagements with the GDAP Project Coordination Unit and a technical visit to the Cyber Security Authority’s National CERT facility.

The discussions focused on strengthening Ghana’s competitiveness in Artificial Intelligence (AI), expanding digital jobs, improving public-sector digitalisation, and deepening cybersecurity resilience.

The World Bank team commended MoCDTI and the GDAP PCU for the progress achieved and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ghana’s digital transformation journey.
