Sometimes you sit down somewhere, and out of nowhere, you start thinking: “Why am I not doing well in life like my friends? I see my colleagues share their achievements and successes on LinkedIn, when would that be me?”

Maybe you thought you would have a business by now that’s making a lot of money. Or that you had enough money to do that Master’s degree. Or that you have earned that promotion at work. Or that you didn’t have to worry so much about how you were going to pay your bills for next month.

I know that feeling. That feeling that you’re not doing enough. But don’t be too hard on yourself. Don’t compare yourself to other people’s journeys. Trust that you’re making progress in your own time. As long as you know that you’re working hard and getting better, that will lead you to where you want to be. It doesn’t matter how long it is or how fast it will be. The most important thing is you’re putting in the work always, networking, and putting yourself out there consistently even when it feels like no one is listening. Do it when you’re motivated, do it when you’re not. Do it when you can’t see progress. Do it when it’s not convenient. If you want the payoff, put in the work each day. It’ll come.
