Everywhere I go, I find that a lot of people are curious as to what kind of CEO/Group Chairman I am. So I’ll be honest with you today…
As a CEO, I try to listen more than I speak, and I’m open to criticism, even when it is harsh.
As a CEO, I don’t really care what time you get to work and what time you leave… just do what the job description says and get the job done.
As a CEO, I don’t know how to be a leader and not be completely accessible to my people. Everyone in our company has my contact information, and they know that they can reach out to me at any time with new ideas or suggestions. I’m open to not only hearing what they have to say, but also helping implement their suggestions that make sense to the business.
As a CEO, I don’t care if you’re exceptionally ambitious or are totally comfortable doing what you do forever, just always be open to learning from others.
I don’t care about what degrees you have, where you have worked, or any of your accomplishments if you are not decent and kind.
I don’t care if you take some time to go run an errand or go to an appointment, just care about your work and the company and be honest.
I do care about you and hope that you care about the purpose, our values, and the work that you do.
