Iran International English reported a provocative speech delivered by Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, deputy commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), aired on Iranian state television.
In his remarks, Naghdi directly targeted the United States and Israel, expressing open disdain for their military strategies and leadership, and mocking their perceived overconfidence in dealing with Iran.
Naghdi strongly criticized the United States, dismissing its display of military power as arrogant and disconnected from reality.
He specifically referenced American claims about advanced weaponry, suggesting that such declarations are nothing more than boastful rhetoric.
According to him, the U.S. leadership exaggerates its strength without understanding the full scope of Iran’s readiness to respond if challenged.
“The foolish president of America brags like a charlatan, saying, ‘I have B-2 bombers,’” Naghdi said, referencing recent comments perceived as a display of U.S. military might.
“When the time comes, we’ll show you what we’ll do to your B-2s.”
The IRGC official’s comments are set against the backdrop of rising tensions between Iran and the West, largely driven by disagreements over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and growing influence in the region.
His speech reinforces the IRGC’s longstanding defiance and its posture of resistance against what it views as Western coercion and intimidation tactics.
Turning his attention to Israel, Naghdi questioned the strategic thinking of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, criticizing his military-heavy approach.
Naghdi referred to Netanyahu’s background in the Israeli special forces, implying that his reliance on commando-style operations reflects a simplistic and outdated mindset when confronting a state like Iran.
The IRGC deputy commander dismissed such military strategies as ineffective, asserting that Iran’s government and military are far too resilient to be shaken by foreign intervention or special forces operations.
