Today, I’ve been thinking and reflecting a lot about my children and what I want them to ultimately remember me for.

I know they know I love them, but what else? Well, our children learn from us not only in what we say but what we do, so I hope they have learned from me just how critical it is to be of integrity.

Now, what’s integrity? Integrity means doing the right thing, especially when no one is watching.

Having integrity means that you live by your deepest values, you’re honest with everyone, and you always keep your word.

Integrity is not compromising your values even if it looks like it might accelerate your career or progress. Integrity is what matters in the end.

It doesn’t matter if you were a good person while everyone was watching, it matters that you held on to your values and didn’t change them just because there were people around to see that.

You did the right thing when no one was watching and not when there were others present!
