

Ghanaβs Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has lauded the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) for its continued excellence in security and defense training during a joint graduation ceremony held in Accra.
Serving as the Guest of Honor, the Vice President addressed graduates from the Senior Command and Staff Course 46, the Masterβs in Defence and International Politics program, and the Masterβs in Security Studies program.



In her remarks, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang praised the College for its high-level training programs designed to equip officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle both internal and external security challenges. She noted the Collegeβs growing reputation for innovation, particularly the introduction of new courses tailored to address evolving global security threats.

βThe institutionβs commitment to officers from sister African countries strengthens international relations and fosters mutual learning across cultures,β she said.

Reaffirming the Governmentβs support, the Vice President assured the gathering of the continued commitment of President John Dramani Mahama, Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to provide the necessary resources for the College to maintain its global standards in defense education.



Addressing the graduates, she emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism, and foresight in their future service. She also acknowledged the critical role played by the families and communities of the graduates in supporting their academic journey.
To international graduates, she extended her best wishes for safe travels and encouraged all alumni to maintain the bonds of friendship and cooperation forged during their time at the College.
The ceremony marked yet another milestone in GAFCSCβs mission to build strategic leadership and promote peace and security within and beyond Ghanaβs borders.
