

A groundbreaking move, by the chief of Tutu Akuapem traditional Council, Nana Appiah Anti IV, has pushed for all lands to be transitioned to a digital management system, spearheaded by Nana Kwame Sakyi II, the chief of Akim Essam and Nkosour hene of Tutu Akuapem. This initiative aims to streamline land registration and management, ensuring transparency and efficiency in land transactions.

The digital platform, launched during the 2025 Ohum Thanksgiving ceremony attended by Nananom, Pastors and local leaders as well as the entire community members.

The idea is the vision of Nana Appiah Anti IV, Tutuhene who doubles as the Atipihene of Akuapem traditional area will allow residents to access land records online, reducing bureaucratic delays and minimizing disputes.

Nana Kwame Sakyi II, who is leading the project on behalf of Tutuhene emphasized the importance of technology in modernizing traditional practices, stating, “This digital transformation will empower our people and safeguard our land heritage.”
The initiative is expected to enhance economic development in the traditional area by attracting investments and promoting sustainable land use. As Tutu Akuapem embraces this innovative approach, it sets a precedent for other communities in Akuapem.

Highlighting the potential of technology to preserve cultural values while fostering progress.
Additionally, he stressed that this will bring to an end the boundaries challenges between communities in the area.
