Hon. Osei Assibey, Chief Executive for NSS is a man with sundry academic and professional backgrounds, coupled with an extensive managerial experience to steer the affairs of all- important national institutions.
He has diverse career, spanning more than two decades in the public and private sectors and has held key senior positions in Finance and Administration.
Prior to his current appointment, Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi previously served as the Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, where he received numerous honours. Notable among them were the 2019 Sanitation Challenge for Ghana context 1st prize award, which gave the city UK£400,000; 2021 Global Mayors Challenge Champion City for Ghana which puts the city of Kumasi on the path of earning US$1 million and the $250 million prize package by the International Municipal Investment Fund to Kumasi for Greening Kumasi, Sanitation, health, Multi-storey car park, Transport, Housing projects and many more.
The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) named him the best CEO for 2022/2023.
In 2006, he was appointed the Deputy Regional Minister for Ashanti Region, where he also had the opportunity to double as the District Chief Executive officer for Obuasi municipal, Ashanti Akim North and South, Bosomtwe, Atwima Kwanwoma District, Amansie Central, New Edubease and Asiwa District after the then president relieved seven Chief Executive officers at varying periods between 2006 to 2008.
He also served as the Assistant Inspector of Taxes, responsible for Financial and Administrative duties at the Internal Revenue Service.
Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi has among his academic qualifications, an International Executive Master of Business Administration in Marketing Management (MBA) from the Paris Graduate School of Management, Paris; a Professional Graduate Diploma in Management from IPMA in England; Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management in England; a level III holder from Institute of Financial Accountants in England; and a Diploma in Accounting and Business Management from Cambridge Tutorial College.
He has been a Certified Member of the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) since 1995, and a member in good standing with GJA. He is also an entrepreneur.
