The Choice of NPP Running-Mate
At the risk of stampeding the quintessential Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his selection of a Running-Mate, l crave your indulgence to share my recent experience.
The past few weeks has seen me traversing the country for “Bawumia Youth Connect” a regional-based platform created by the kind courtesy of the workaholic National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha for the Flagbearer to interact with the youth.
Arising from that, l have had the benefit of touring Tamale, Damongo, Walewale, Wa, Bolgatanga, Nalerigu, Gambaga, Sefwi, Takoradi, Axim, Cape Coast, Kumasi, Dambai, Ho, Accra, just to name a few.
One thing is clear —- one particular name appears gigantic in the list of potential RMs for DMB. His track record, accessibility and charisma supersedes his contemporaries. And given his background, he will bring a fortune to the ticket.
To cure all uncertainties in my mind, l had to operate incognito at certain points just to quiz the minds of the people to get answers; and as if by divine, the people (both young and old) were unanimous with their preferred choice.
Our forebears, long before we were birthed, have always said that “the voice of the people is the voice of God.”
On that score l also hereby solemnly throw my support behind the people’s choice for victory 2024. And that choice is the Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
