The Ashanti Regional Chairman for United Zongo for Bawumia has dared the 2024 flagbearer of NDC, John Dramani Mahama to tell Ghanaians what he did for the Gonja Kingdom when he was President of Ghana.
Chairman Abdul Aziz critiqued in an interview with this medium that the former President cannot pinpoint a single monumental project he did for the people of Gonja, especially his home town, Bole.
Contrasting how President Akufo-Addo has adorned Akyem land with developmental projects, he described John Mahama as a big disappointment and great failure.
Inferring from the adage “charity begins at home”, Chairman Aziz explained that Mahama will fail Ghainans bitterly if the whole nation is entrusted to his care again.
“You (Mahama) couldn’t even develop your home town when you were Vice President and President of Ghana so what shows he can develop the country if he is given the chance to serve again as President”.
“This alone should provoke Gonjas to vote massively against John Mahama in the upcoming general elections. He doesn’t deserve your votes”, he added.
