It was a moment of pride and inspiration yesterday at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi, as the Ghana Education Service (GES), Kumasi Metro honoured the Member of Parliament for Subin, Hon. Kofi Obiri Yeboah, Esq., for his extraordinary commitment to education and youth development.

The hall resounded with applause as the education directorate presented a beautifully framed Citation of Honour to the MP, recognizing his “generous sponsorship and unwavering dedication to academic excellence” in the metropolis.

Hon. Obiri Yeboah’s sponsorship of the 2025 Literacy and Numeracy Competition has become a game-changer for basic schools in Kumasi, igniting a wave of enthusiasm for learning, reading, and healthy academic rivalry among pupils.
“Your pivotal role in supporting this initiative has enriched countless learners and rekindled a culture of excellence, competition, and love for learning,” the citation read.

Teachers, pupils, and community leaders who gathered for the ceremony hailed the Subin MP as a true “champion of education,” crediting him with inspiring a renewed sense of purpose in both students and educators.
The ceremony was marked by vibrant cultural displays and performances from participating schools, symbolizing the success of the literacy and numeracy initiative.
Many described the recognition as a well-deserved tribute to a leader whose passion for education continues to transform lives and inspire the next generation of achievers in the Subin Constituency and beyond.
