The construction of GHs 7.3million astro-turf within the Asem cluster of schools of the Subin Constituency; the biggest in Ashanti region will be completed before the close of this year, contractor Boateng Collins has informed newsmen.

He is 80 percent done with construction works.

Turfing will be completed by Friday and will be followed up abruptly with infilling and the construction of a VIP stands, washroom, floodlights plus other essential amenities.

The capacious artificial turf is the initiative of the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Subin Constituency, Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah.

All expenses making up the total cost of the project are tapped from his personal coffers; an expression of his readiness to support and facelift the constituency to the much desired status.

Inspecting the project on Wednesday, 30th October, 2024, the renowned legal practitioner cum Member of Parliament hopeful told newsmen that, putting up the astro-turf for the constitutency is his humble response to a request which was put before him by youth of the area even before he commenced contesting for the parliamentary seat.

He also briefed that, situating the facility within the Asem cluster of schools is premised on the fact that a number of prominent personalities are alumni of the school.

Among them are the late Asantehene Otumfour Opoku Ware, former President John Agyekum Kuffour, former UN Secretary General Kofi Anan, renowned entrepreneur and business magnate Alhaji Asoma Banda among others, saying that the facility will honour them, hence its uniqueness.

The Parliamentary candidate said after completion, he will replicate same at Adum military barracks and Amankwatia to mark the beginning of his tenure in office as the Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency come 2025.

The much-loved Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah told newsmen that he has so much to offer the people of Subin, adding that he is more than set to roll out more developmental interventions to make life more comfortable for residents.

He therefore called on electorates to give him all the needed support by voting massively for him as their Member of Parliament and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the President of Ghana in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
