The General Overseer of Open Arms Ministry, St. Sark has invalidated the National Christian Thanksgiving service which was hosted by President John Dramani Mahama last Sunday.
He has expressed great disatisfaction against the venue (Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies) and the list of eminent clergy who turned up.
Controversial St. Sark told newsmen on Tuesday at a press briefing that, the service which the NDC claim was held to appreciate God for President Mahama’s victory and for the peaceful and successful conduct of the December, 7th general elections was a great dishonor to God.
He described it as an abominable and a contemptuous thanksgiving service, asserting that some of the prominent clerics who turned up at the event including Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, Prophet Owusu Bempah, Bishop Salifu Amoako, Rev. Stephen Wengam, etc are not true servants of God and for that reason should not have been billed for the occasion.
St. Sark alleged that most of them are members of occult fraternities and that the corporate prayer that was offered for President John Dramani Mahama by Archbishop Duncan Williams at the occasion was not accepted by God.
“They all have ill motives against John Dramani Mahama and the NDC and they are the reason Ghana is not progressing”.
Critiquing the venue, St. Sark claimed that, per the plans of GOD, his church auditorium (Open Arms Ministry) which is located at Bantama North Suntreso is the appropriate place for the thanksgiving, adding that he alone carries the spiritual mandate to decide participants and date for the thanksgiving.
“John Mahama must do the needful because my spiritual efforts earned him the Presidency “.
“Nobody in Ghana can claim he or she facilitated the victory of NDC and John Mahama more than I did”, he added.
According to St. Sark, the President has provoked God and the only thing that can save him (JM) and the party is reorganizing another thanksgiving service.
“The venue must be my church auditorium. What the NDC did at UPS did not win the approval of God.”
