The St. Monica’s College of Education Aluminae Association has been inaugurated.
It happened on Saturday, 3rd May, 2025.
The association constitutes over a thousand Collegians, spanning from the 1985 batch of old students to the present year group.
National and Ashanti regional zonal executives were sworn into office during the inauguration to commence their official duty.
At the event, leadership of the aluminae presented citations to current and retired Principals of the college; Rev Dr. David Okyere Korankye and Mrs. Agnes Ofosu Koranteng respectively.
It was a way of honoring the duo for their visionary leadership, innovative spirit, constant dedication and unrelenting passion for education and commitment to student achievement.
President for the aluminae, Betty Addikour Buer told newsmen that after joining the council of the college in 2022 as an aluminae representative, she realized the college lacked a unified body of aluminae.
She said from there, she took it upon herself to bring together all past Collegians.
Betty Addikour Buer said aim behind its formation is offering support to the college and members of the association and also increasing the involvement of past Collegians in the life of the college.
Highlighting a number of support the college has received from the aluminae, she mentioned that the association is renovating a sick bay for St. Monica’s College of Education.
The forgoing is aside other academic support received by the college from the association.
