On the 22nd of October, 2024, I had the privilege of being hosted by the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where I met the wisdom-filled Elder D. Todd Christofferson, a distinguished member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his beautiful wife, before being introduced to Elder Michael T. Riband, and Elder Gifford Nelson.
During our conversation, we exchanged views on the importance of upholding family values within the Utah community, emphasizing how these principles have been passed down through generations. We also discussed the significance of protecting our children, regardless of race, social background, or religious beliefs.
Earlier that day, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with my friend and sister, J. Annette Dennis, following our participation in Sierra Leone’s commemoration of the United Nations World Day November 18th in 2023.
My experience in Utah has been nothing short of inspiring, highlighted by the warmth and hospitality of its resilient and loving people.
