President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye of Senegal today paid an official working visit to Sierra Leone, where he was warmly welcomed at the State House in Freetown by President Dr. Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio.

During their bilateral discussions, Presidents Faye and Bio explored various avenues for enhancing cooperation between the two nations, covering key topics of mutual interest. These discussions underscored the commitment of both leaders to strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering collaboration on multiple fronts.

Following the official talks, a reception lunch provided a more informal setting for further dialogue, allowing the leaders to discuss critical issues in a relaxed environment and reinforcing the bonds of friendship between the two countries.

Additionally, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from both nations signed a joint communique, marking a significant step in fortifying the relationship between Sierra Leone and Senegal. This gesture highlights the importance of partnership in addressing shared challenges and pursuing common goals.
