Ghana’s former Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has taken to social media with a message of spiritual encouragement, invoking scripture to uplift his followers during challenging times.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page today, Dr. Opoku Prempeh quoted from the Bible — James 1:2-4, The Passion Translation — urging his audience to see life’s difficulties as opportunities for growth and spiritual strength.

“My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!

For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking,” he wrote.
While Dr. Prempeh did not attach any specific context or reference to current events, the timing of the message has prompted speculation among some followers as to whether it alludes to recent political or personal developments. However, many commenters on the post have expressed appreciation for the spiritual encouragement, calling it a timely reminder of faith and perseverance.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh, widely known as “Napo,” served as Minister of Energy under the previous administration and remains an influential figure in Ghanaian politics. His public expressions of faith have been a consistent element of his political persona.
As the country continues to face economic and social challenges, messages of hope from public figures like Dr. Prempeh appear to resonate strongly with a portion of the populace seeking both spiritual and practical guidance.
