In a dramatic twist that has set social media ablaze, a viral rumor accusing prominent public figure Ms. Rose Hamilton, CEO of Crystal Hotel of stealing GHS 50 million from the National Service Secretariat and fleeing to London has been categorically debunked as a malicious fabrication.

In a strongly worded statement released today and copied to the office of www.leakyghana.com, Ms. Hamilton’s team slammed the accusation as “entirely false, baseless, and defamatory,” warning that the smear campaign is a deliberate and calculated attempt to destroy her reputation.

Contrary to the claims flooding various platforms, Ms. Hamilton has not left Ghana at any point this year, the statement confirmed.

The digital firestorm erupted earlier this week, catching many by surprise and sparking outrage and speculation. But those close to the situation are calling it for what it is; a dangerous lie designed to mislead the public and tarnish a spotless record.
“This reckless publication is a targeted character assassination,” the statement read, adding that legal action is on the table to pursue those behind the hoax.
Social media users and media outlets have been put on notice: stop spreading falsehoods or face the consequences.
As the online frenzy continues, many are now asking: Who is behind this elaborate smear campaign? And why target Rose Hamilton?
For now, one thing is clear; the allegations have no legs, and Ms. Hamilton isn’t backing down.
