Quarter-final stage of the 2024 edition of the Basic Schools Assessment Competition (BSAC), organised by Perfect Star Media Production was held on Thursday, 26th September, 2024.
10 schools namely; Unique Educational Complex, Eldia Montessori, Global Academy, Osabarima Educational Complex, Legacy International School, Bosomtwe STEM Academy, Queenamies Montessori, Salvation Army Basic School, Reverence Preparatory School and Konadu Educational Complex were the ones that excelled in the group stages to partake in the quarter-final.
At the end of the competition, 3 schools were eliminated.
7 succeeded in advancing to the semi-final stage, scheduled for 3rd October, 2024.
The above initiative is carried out through a collaboration with Perfect Grade Publications and Stationery.
Teachers of schools that were billed for the quarter final stage eulogized the CEO of Perfect Series Stationery, Pastor Philip Sarpong for coming up with the initiative.
Impact of Initiative
One remarked that, “this competition has been very impactful.
It has enhanced the critical thinking ability of students and has also challenged us to upgrade our knowledge through regular studies and research”.
“The initiative has not only increased students’ thinking capacity but has also encouraged them to take ownership of their learning, focusing on strategic study habits and exploration beyond textbooks”, he added.
Students of schools that have advanced to compete in the semi final stage expressed enthusiasm over the competition, vowing to intensify their preparation for the semifinals.
“We’re going to thoroughly review our notes and engage in extensive research to excel in the next stage,” one student promised.
Teachers and students alike appealed to the government to support this groundbreaking initiative, citing its potential to brighten the future of Ghana’s youth by shaping them into capable, well-rounded individuals.
