The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has commended the Ahafo Ano South East District for its remarkable progress in local development, describing the area as a “shining example” of President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of equitable development.
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Dr. Amoakohene recounted a working visit to the district, where he engaged with traditional leaders, community members, and the District Assembly.
The visit included inspections of ongoing and stalled development projects as part of efforts to strengthen local governance and assess infrastructure needs across the region.
“As part of my official duties, I visited the Ahafo Ano South East District, where I paid a courtesy call on our revered traditional leaders to express government’s appreciation for their enduring partnership in the development process,” the minister said.
Dr. Amoakohene singled out the District Chief Executive, Hon. Ibrahim Nelson Ayamba, for special praise, citing his dedication, hard work, and bold initiatives carried out in line with President Mahama’s development agenda.
“Under his leadership, the district has seen visible improvements in infrastructure, education, water systems, health, and community development,” he noted.
He reaffirmed the regional administration’s commitment to deepening development across all districts, adding, “We remain resolute in our pursuit of progress and transformation for our people.”
The visit forms part of the Regional Minister’s broader agenda to ensure accelerated development and strong collaboration between central government and local authorities in the Ashanti Region.
