In a move that signals continued political reorganization within the Ashanti Region, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has officially welcomed Mr. Sylvester Adonteng as the newly appointed Deputy Political Coordinator at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC).
In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Dr. Amoakohene praised Mr. Adonteng for his unwavering dedication to public service, citing his prior role as Communications Officer for the Kwadaso Constituency as instrumental in preparing him for this elevated position.

“Sylvester has served diligently… demonstrating dedication, discipline, and a deep understanding of political coordination,” the Minister noted, adding that the appointment is a “testament to his commitment and hard work.”

The Minister expressed confidence in Mr. Adonteng’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the Council’s work, describing the new role as “an important responsibility in service to the Region and the Nation.”

Political analysts see the appointment as part of a broader strategy to solidify party structures and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2024 elections, where the Ashanti Region remains a key political stronghold.

Supporters from the Kwadaso Constituency and beyond have welcomed the news, describing Mr. Adonteng as a “youthful and vibrant addition” to the ARCC’s leadership team.
Mr. Adonteng is expected to begin his duties immediately.
