Opoku Sekyere family Charity, a Ghanaian Charity Organisation based in the USA in collaboration with Partick Duah Foundation, is putting up a 10-bedroom housing complex and six big halls to serve as a Charity Home at Kona in the Afigya Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region in Ghana.

The project, which will cost over $45,000 is expected to begin soon and will serve as a shelter for over 200 orphans and the underprivileged in the area.

At a ceremony at the project site at Kona, the OPoku Sekyere Charity Organisation donated an initial amount of $8,000 to ensure the speedy commencement of the project.

A member of the Opoku Sekyere family, Ms. Meredith Opoku-Sekyere, who donated on behalf of the family, said the family will continue to help until the project is completed.

The founder of the Patrick Duah Foundation, Rev. Patrick Kwaku Duah, thanked the family for the kind gesture and pledged to see to the completion of the project soon.

Ms. Meredith Opoku Seyere was accompanied by her siblings, Chris, Gabe, and Janelle, all from the Opoku-Skyere Family Charity in the USA.
