New City Mayor of Kumasi, Mr. Richard Ofori-Agyemang Boadi a.k.a “King Zuba” has announced that he instill a military style of punishment against traders who do business on any roadway median that falls within his jurisdiction .
He told the press on Monday that recalcitrant traders who conduct business on a traffic median after repeated warnings will be whipped severely on the spot.
“When we say leave this place and you don’t leave the place and I get there and my boys are with me, there and there we will whip you…
If I’m there and my ten boys are in their pick-up with me with their whips, trust me we will whip you.
If you don’t want to experience this kind of situation, do what is right and what is lawful”, King Zuba warned Kumasi traders at the press briefing.
Still in his address, he underscored the above action as his democratic military style of discipline.
“I have my own democratic military style which I will be implementing.”
The Mayor who is affectionately called said he detests the situation whereby a person will be arrested and same will find his or her way out of prison and get back to the street.

When we talk to you and we implore on you to adhere to that which we all do so that we can all have peace and you want to let the job become difficult for me, I will let your body feel the difficulty that you are giving to us…”
The Mayor further said “this is Asantehene’s city.
This is the garden city of Africa.
We have to preserve its image.
I want to ensure that this city looks like Otumfuor’s city”.
King Zuba said the above step is aimed at attaining a disciplined and a sanitized city.
