The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. Eric Adjei, today joined officials from the British Council and IOT Ghana to officially launch the Digital Innovation & Innovation Employability (DIVE) training programme.

DIVE is a transformative digital skills training initiative spearheaded by the British Council in partnership with other key stakeholders.

The programme aims to equip 80 passionate and committed young Ghanaians with cutting-edge digital skills to drive innovation, create decent jobs, and contribute to solving the nation’s pressing developmental challenges.

Addressing participants at the launch event, Mr. Eric Adjei urged the youth to take the opportunity seriously and fully embrace the training to maximize its potential. “Digital innovation holds the key to solving many of our wicked problems, including unemployment and poverty,” he said. “This programme is not just about acquiring skills, but about using them to transform your lives and your communities.”

Mr. Adjei also used the occasion to highlight entrepreneurial opportunities available under the Adwumawura Programme, a flagship initiative of the government led by H.E. John Dramani Mahama. The programme seeks to support and build the capacity of 10,000 youth-owned businesses across the country.

He commended the British Council and IOT for their consistent efforts in fostering impactful partnerships aimed at youth empowerment. “NEIP remains committed to supporting initiatives that build the entrepreneurial and digital capacity of Ghanaian youth,” he stated. “Together, we can create a generation of problem-solvers and job creators.”

The DIVE programme marks another step forward in Ghana’s journey toward digital transformation and youth empowerment, aligning with national goals to harness innovation for sustainable development.
