In a move underscoring Ghana’s deepening diplomatic ties and commitment to international cooperation, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has officially welcomed three new ambassador designates to Ghana from Kenya, Germany, and Senegal.
The announcement, made via his verified Facebook page, follows a formal ceremony in which Hon. Ablakwa received the open letters of credence from:

- His Excellency Col. (Rtd.) Shem Shahlidza Amadi of Kenya
- His Excellency Frederick Landshoeft of Germany
- His Excellency Amadou Ndene Ndoye of Senegal
“With great honour and a patriotic sense of duty, I received the open letters,” Ablakwa wrote.

He emphasized Ghana’s enduring diplomatic philosophy, adding, “Ghana shall continue to be friends of all and enemies to none as we ensure diplomacy delivers the transformation our people yearn for.”

This high-level diplomatic engagement marks a continuation of Ghana’s non-aligned foreign policy stance, promoting peace, mutual cooperation, and global partnerships in an increasingly polarized geopolitical landscape.

The arrival of these ambassadors is expected to boost bilateral cooperation in key sectors including trade, security, education, and climate action.

Observers say Ablakwa’s tone signals Ghana’s readiness to play a larger role on the African and global stage — not just as a peacekeeper, but as a proactive agent for transformational diplomacy.
As global dynamics shift and regional blocs redefine their alliances, Ghana’s Foreign Ministry appears poised to make diplomacy a cornerstone of national development.
