Founder and leader of United Front Party (UFP) has exposed NDCs involvement in the practice of illegal mining in Ghana.
He told the press on Monday, that should he be dared, he will prove with evidence, members of the NDC who are deeply involved in galamsey.
“There are other NDC members who I can say with evidence are involved in illegal mining”.
The above statement by Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng a.k.a “Gyataba” is his response to tongue-lashing critique by the opposition NDC that the ruling party, NPP is responsible for the magnitude of menace caused to water bodies and forest reserves by illegal mining.
He told the newsmen that “it is not only NPP members who are into illegal mining”, admonishing that it’s high time detractors refrained from politicizing matters related to illegal mining.
“This is a national issue and we all have to sit down and find solutions to it instead of politicizing it”.
Gyataba believes that a holistic and collective approach will succeed in addressing the situation.
“This is far better and more ideal than the so called demonstration.
Demonstration by Civil Society Organisations, Religious groups, Trade Unions is not the best approach.”
