Nana Kontomire Kwame Frimpong Ababio, Chief of Yabi; a rural community within the Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti region has provided a modern lavatory for residents in the area.
It is a 32-seater public toilet with 2-bathrooms, a living room, an office and a dining hall.
He commissioned it on Thursday 20th April, 2023 for immediate utilization so as to ease the pressure on the old toilet which is currently in a sorry state.
Speaking at the commissioning, the Chief pointed out that the development of Yabi has been his focus since his enstoolment and therefore didn’t hesitate to put up the facility when residents requested for a new one.
By way of admonition, he said in his address that the facility belongs to the community and for that reason residents must exercise a culture of maintenance.
The Chief also called on the well-to-dos and residents who are in diaspora to support him in developing the community since he cannot do it all alone.
