Ghanaian politician Percival Kofi Akpaloo says the mess created by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has thrown the country into a serious crisis.

The founder and presidential candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana indicated that his black hair has grown grey because he is double-thinking about the solutions that can transform the country.

Appearing on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Mr. Akpaloo noted that the ruling party and the opposition have been given several opportunities to help manage the economy of the country, but they have messed up.

He told host Kwabena Agyapong that his administration will provide Ghanaians with better opportunities with a huge reduction in the importation of rice, chicken, and other basic commodities we can produce in Ghana.

“It is true that the last time we met, my hair was black, but it has all transformed and grown grey. This is because I am engaged in double-thinking over the solutions I will deploy to make Ghana better.

The crisis and challenges confronting Ghana are several, and they have been caused by the two major parties. My hair is now grey because I am thinking about how to transform and develop Ghana.

The problems caused by the NPP and NDC are several, and we need leaders who will double-think and design solutions to resolve them. I know I will be given the mandate to transform Ghana.

I have the solutions. When I am given the mandate, I will develop and restore hope. I am optimistic that I will be elected as the next president. And that is why I am preparing for it. So if you see that I have grey hair, it is because I am double-thinking about designing solutions for our country.”

Mr. Akpaloo maintained that the 2024 general elections should not be business as usual because if we make it business as usual, the country will still remain undeveloped.
