MTN Ghana has kicked off DigiFest 2025 with a clear message: the future belongs to digitally skilled, empowered youth. More than just a tech showcase, DigiFest 2025 positions Ghanaian youth at the center of the country’s digital transformation, offering immersive learning, hands-on experiences, and platforms to innovate.
At the launch event, MTN Ghana CEO Stephen Blewett emphasized the company’s long-term vision to create an inclusive digital ecosystem where every Ghanaian, especially the youth can thrive.

“We’re not just building networks; we’re building pathways to opportunity for young innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs,” Blewett noted.

Central to this mission is MTN’s $25 million investment in an ICT hub and the MTN Digital Skills Academy, designed to equip young people with the tools they need to compete in a tech-driven economy.

From AI-powered workshops to mobile gaming competitions, DigiFest serves as a launchpad for future tech leaders.

Ibrahim Misto, Chief Digital Officer of MTN Ghana, pointed to the rise of artificial intelligence and mobile gaming as major enablers of digital entrepreneurship.
“This is about equipping Ghana’s youth with the skills and platforms to build, create, and lead. Technology is no longer optional. It’s the future of work and play,” he said.
Participants will engage in UX/UI hackathons, AI knowledge sessions, and interactive tech exhibits from partners like Samsung, Huawei, and Abena AI. Mobile gaming zones and weekly Tech Quiz Fridays will turn learning into a fun, competitive experience, blending entertainment with digital literacy.
DigiFest 2025 is not only a festival; it’s a national call to action to invest in the digital capabilities of Ghana’s next generation setting the stage for a more inclusive and technologically advanced future.
