

MTN Ghana has expressed deep sorrow and shock following the tragic helicopter crash that has claimed the lives of several prominent government officials, including the Honourable Minister for Defence and the Honourable Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.
Six other individuals were also on board and are feared to have perished in the crash.


In a statement issued shortly after the news broke, MTN Ghana conveyed its heartfelt condolences to His Excellency the President of the Republic, the Government, the people of Ghana, and the bereaved families and colleagues affected by the national tragedy.

Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Stephen Blewett, called for unity and compassion in this difficult time, stating:

“We appeal to all to honour the memories of the departed with dignity and to use their social media platforms to promote messages of hope, solidarity, and compassion.”


The company has joined the rest of the nation in mourning the loss, describing the event as a painful blow to the country.
MTN Ghana stands in solidarity with the nation as it comes to terms with the devastating loss of esteemed public servants.
“May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
