The Member of Parliament for Kumawu constituency, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim has commenced a free distribution of bags of fertilizer to farmers within his jurisdiction.
The first phase of the initiative succeeded in supporting farmers of Sekyere community with 50 bags of fertilizer.
The intervention has targeted supplying 500 bags to 1,500 farmers in the area.
50 has been allotted for each community.
Speaking to www.leakyghans.com, the MP explained that the move underscored his unwavering commitment to enhancing food security and empowering local communities.
Through a collaboration with the Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly, he said the intervention forms part of his broader mission; empowering small holder farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity.
