In a powerful show of leadership and solidarity, Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, made a surprise tour of four Senior High Schools in his constituency this morning as the highly anticipated 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) officially commenced.
With a staggering 5,370 candidates from just four schools sitting for this year’s exams, Bantama is emerging as a major academic powerhouse in the Ashanti Region.
The breakdown of candidates includes:
Asanteman SHS – 1,459 candidates
Kumasi Girls SHS – 999 candidates
Islamic SHS – 2,035 candidates
Bantama SDA SHS – 877 candidates
The MP, who shared the update via his official Facebook page, expressed admiration for the seamless coordination of the exams and the remarkable discipline observed among both candidates and invigilators.
“I was encouraged by the orderly processes and the commitment of both students and supervisors to ensure a smooth examination,” Hon. Asenso-Boakye stated.
But it was his heartfelt message to the candidates that truly struck a chord.
“To all the candidates, I extend my best wishes. May your hard work, perseverance, and dedication yield excellent results. You carry the hopes of your families, schools, and our constituency; and I am confident you will make us proud. Bantama believes in you. Shine bright!”
