Reigning Miss Grand Ghana, Faith Porter, has paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith, at the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C., as part of her post-pageant international engagements.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the beauty queen to formally introduce herself to the diplomatic mission and outline the vision driving the Miss Grand Ghana platform.

It also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between Ghana’s diaspora community and official state institutions.

Born in the United States, Porter revealed that a DNA test led her to discover her ancestral roots in Ghana; a revelation she says reshaped her identity and life’s direction.

“Tracing my DNA to Ghana was a defining moment for me,” she shared. “It gave me a deeper sense of belonging and purpose, and representing Ghana globally is both an honor and a responsibility.”
During discussions, she briefed the Ambassador on her advocacy priorities, including peace promotion, youth empowerment, cultural exchange, and fostering national pride.
As a 3rd Runner-Up on the international stage, Porter reaffirmed her commitment to promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage, tourism prospects, and the strength of its people.

H.E. Victor Emmanuel Smith commended her for embracing her heritage and representing Ghana with distinction. He underscored the critical role of the diaspora in projecting Ghana’s image abroad and encouraged her to continue serving as a bridge between Ghana and its global community.
The Ambassador further assured her of the Embassy’s support in her future initiatives, particularly those aimed at inspiring young people and encouraging greater Ghanaian participation in international platforms.
Expressing appreciation for the warm reception, Faith Porter described the visit as both affirming and motivating. She noted that engaging with Ghana’s diplomatic leadership strengthens her resolve to use her platform to positively impact lives and elevate Ghana’s presence on the world stage.
