Plan International Ghana’s Country Director, Mr. Constant Tchona, revealed that the project developed in partnership with Nokia will equip young people with skills in coding, cybersecurity, and digital solution development. Beyond technical training, participants will be encouraged to develop innovative digital tools addressing key sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and urban planning.
Training sessions will run in four-month cohorts across multiple centers in Accra, Tamale, and Kumasi. Women will make up at least 50% of the beneficiaries, and measures are being taken to ensure full inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Mr. Tchona also highlighted that the project will utilize distance learning platforms to expand access nationwide, making participation more flexible and inclusive.
“Through this initiative, we’re not just providing training. we’re empowering young people to become innovators and problem-solvers in their own communities,” he said.
