The Mayor of Accra, Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, on Thursday, interacted with prospective couples and their families who had gathered at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to complete processes towards their civil marriages.
The engagement formed part of the Mayor’s routine early-morning visits to various offices within the Assembly to monitor attendance, encourage staff, and assess service delivery.
The Mayor, who was accompanied by the Coordinating Director, Mr. Douglas Annoful the Finance Director, and the Head of Public Affairs, moved through several departments before arriving at the Marriage Registry.
At the Registry, the Mayor exchanged warm greetings with individuals waiting to be called to submit their documents and schedule their marriage ceremonies, commended them for taking the necessary legal steps to formalise their unions and assured them of the Assembly’s commitment to providing efficient and respectful services.
