Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has issued a stirring message of Pan-African unity following his viewing of the highly anticipated film on Burkina Faso’s revolutionary leader, Ibrahim Traoré, produced by Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin.

In a statement shared via his official Facebook page, Dr. Amoakohene described the experience as transformative, writing:

“Yesterday, the Africa in me was reborn as I watched the iconic Ibrahim Traoré movie by Ghana’s talented actor and producer, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin.”

He praised the film not merely for its artistic value, but for its deeper message about African identity and solidarity:

“The film is more than entertainment, it is a powerful reminder that the value of unity is priceless.”


The Minister emphasized that the call for African unity is not aspirational, but urgent and necessary for the continent’s collective advancement.

“Africa must unite, and this is not a distant dream, but an urgent call, essential for our collective survival and progress as a people,” he said.

Dr. Amoakohene concluded his statement with a call to action, urging Africans to take ownership of the continent’s destiny:

“Let us rise together, for the future of Africa depends on the choices we make today.”
