On April 15th, 2024, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo launched the NSS Policy for 2024 to 2034, ushering in a new era for our beloved institution. The theme “Innovative Deployment: Developing Prospects for the Future” underscores our commitment to a forward-looking approach in shaping the future of our graduates.

During the launch at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, President Akufo-Addo emphasized the pivotal departure from past practices, focusing on elevating the NSS into a world-class institution. This policy is not just about mobilizing and deploying graduates but also about equipping them for success in their respective fields.

The President urged various stakeholders, including the government, international partners, universities, and institutions, to wholeheartedly embrace the policy, assuring them of unwavering government support for its successful implementation.

As the Executive Director of NSS, I cannot overstate the significance of this policy. It represents a paradigm shift, providing much-needed direction for our scheme’s delivery. With the number of institutional graduates increasing annually, reaching 150,000, it is imperative to strengthen the NSS to effectively harness this critical mass.

I commend the tireless efforts of all stakeholders in creating flourishing opportunities under this policy. The direct correlation between its establishment and operational and institutional productivity is simply remarkable.

Moving forward, we recognize the crucial role of our personnel and staff in ensuring the success of this policy. We must work together, hand in hand, to streamline operations, align resources, and target projects and programs for high service delivery.

Let us embark on this journey of transformation with renewed vigor and determination. Together, we will shape a brighter future for our graduates and our beloved nation.
