The Mayor of Kumasi, Hon. Richard Kwasi Ofori Boadi Agyemang, has commended the ongoing construction of the Minerals Commission’s regional office during a working visit to the project site at Ridge-Danyame.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, the Mayor highlighted the importance of staying connected with all government agencies operating within the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA). “As Mayor, it is my duty to stay informed about all agencies under my jurisdiction so I can properly report to His Excellency the President when necessary,” he said.

He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the structure, describing it as a much-needed development that reflects the region’s vital role in Ghana’s mineral sector.

“Kumasi deserves a befitting facility like this, especially given our significant contributions to mineral extraction,” Hon. Ofori Boadi noted.

The construction of the Minerals Commission office began in December 2021 and is expected to be completed by the end of August 2025.

Once finished, the facility is set to enhance the operations of the Minerals Commission in the Ashanti Region and beyond.

This tour underscores the Mayor’s continued commitment to infrastructure development and institutional support within the Kumasi metropolis.
