The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Hon. Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, has announced plans to host business entities in Kumasi.
It is the Mayor’s initiative christened ‘Kumasi Business Connect’.
The 3-day business exploration programme scheduled for October 2025 is aimed to attract businesses from within and outside Ghana.
The event, he hinted, will help the business community in real estate, transport, tourism among others will capitalise on numerous opportunities in Kumasi to improve businesses, create jobs, and enhance revenue for the Assembly, among other benefits.
The Mayor made the announcement during a meeting with the Ashanti Business Owners Association (ABOA) in his office on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Mr. Ofori-Agyeman Boadi thanked ABOA for their willingness to support the Assembly and requested further cooperation to generate revenue while the Assembly creates an enabling environment to enhance their businesses.
Mr. JK Agyemang, Chairman, and Mr. Charles Kusi Appiah-Kubi, Secretary, lauded the Mayor’s initiative and appealed for the Assembly’s continuous engagement with the business community.
They welcomed him to his new role and expressed support for his mandate.Also present at the meeting were Metropolitan Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko, Metropolitan Budget Officer, Mr. Jones Kani, and Metropolitan Finance Officer, Mr. Owusu Daniels.
