I believe in keeping my promise.
During the campaign, I pledged to reward the polling station with the widest victory margin in my beloved North Tongu.
Out of our 158 polling stations, the Klamadaboe DA Primary School polling station and the Christian Assembly Church, Mepe polling station both emerged the best performers with 98.47% and 98.44% respectively.
In fulfilling my pledge, I have ensured that long before my inauguration later tonight, I visited the two communities soon after the elections to keep my word.
The Klamadaboe community received a cash prize for a communal project of their choice; renovation of their basic school and a donation of five laptops for teachers of the Klamadaboe Basic School.
At the Mepe Christian Assembly community, I donated a cash prize for a community project, a motorbike for the branch and a laptop for the ward.
As I prepare for tonight’s inauguration of the 9th Parliament, my beloved constituents can be assured that I deeply value our social contract, and that I shall do all in my power to keep every single promise I made and deliver beyond — my philosophy has always been to under promise and over deliver.
Your record 93.12% victory must certainly guarantee you a record-breaking performance from your humble MP.
By God’s grace, I shall not disappoint you.
Thank you, North Tongu.
