Kairaba Climate Action and Conservation Week; Banjul City Mayor Writes…
Through the Kairaba Conservation and Leadership Organization, Kaira CLO, I am delighted and honored to have joined our mothers of the nation, her Excellencies Lady Chile Jawara and Fatoumatta Bah Barrow in planting trees. This is in honor and recognition of Our Founding Father the late Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara.
We aim to raise awareness and address the pressing issues facing our environment, spanning from climate change to pollution.
These challenges are diverse and require concerted efforts from all sectors of society.
Against this backdrop, I am pleased to highlight the significant role of Banjul City Council and REFELA’s (the network of the local elected women of The Gambia) contribution to this noble cause.
I sincerely want to thank the executive members of Kaira CLO for their foresight and partnership.
