Profile of Hon. Dr Bryan Acheampong
Dr Bryan Acheampong is the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency and a former Minister of Food and Agriculture. Also, a former Minister of State at the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of National Security.
He is currently the Ranking Member on the Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliament; Member of the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee, and a Member of the Privileges and Immunities Committee.
Career:
He is a retired soldier of the US Air Force with training in Anti-Terrorism, Force Protection, Laws of Armed Conflict, Conventional Defence Training, Weapons, Small Arms, and Fuels.
His experience spans Security, Intelligence, Politics, and Business Leadership.
Dr Bryan Acheampong is a serial entrepreneur having founded many successful businesses in Technology, Real Estate, Hospitality, and Media.
Education:
He has a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana, and four Masters degrees. These include: a Master of Law, from the University of Law; a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Johnson and Wales University- USA, a Master of Professional
Studies (MPS) in Applied Intelligence from Georgetown University- USA, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Security and Intelligence from the University of Leicester-UK. Bryan holds Bachelors degree in Business Management from Johnson and Wales University, USA.
Furthermore, he holds a certificate in Building, Leading, and Sustaining the Innovative Organization from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Effective Leadership in Management and Administration from the University of Ghana Business School, and Public Relations, Advertising, and Marketing from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Bryan has 14 publications and Articles to his credit.
Philanthropic Contributions:
His foundation, The Bryan Acheampong Foundation is constantly embarking on Poverty Reduction, Health, Education, and Agriculture programs.
Dr Bryan Acheampong recently donated GHC300,000 to Adum Blue Light fire victims. He has also promised to rebuild the Adum Bluelight shops if given the go-ahead by the Asantehene.
Dr Acheampong every year gifts a brand new car to the best teacher and best healthcare professional during his yearly organised teachers and health professionals appreciation day in his constituency.
