Member of Parliament for Abetifi constitutency, Hon. Bryan Acheampong has donated a physical cash of GHs 300,000 as his personal support to traders who tragically lost their livelihood in the Adum-blue light fire outbreak.

Specific beneficiaries of the donation are the most affected traders.

He has also pledged to rebuild a 2-storey building of over 200 shops which was also dilapidated by the merciless inferno if given the opportunity by the overlord of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The ruined building is situated Eastward of the Adum-blue light.

Ghana’s former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong gave the above assurance and donation when he visited the area on Tuesday, 22nd April, 2025, to encourage and comisserate with the traders.

The highly renowned politician cum business mogul who many have tipped as the 2028 flagbearer hopeful for NPP, topped up his generous support with a separate donation of GHs 500,000 to victims of the Kantamanto fire disaster.

On the rebuilding of the 2-storey structure at Adum-blue light, he reiterated in his address to the traders that he will only do that if permitted by the Asantehene.

He said he is waiting for the arrival of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, follow it up with a courtesy call on him to formerly disclose his dicision to rebuild the structure.

He also said he will engage the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene and the City Mayor of Kumasi on same.

According to Bryan Acheampong who is also the CEO of Rock city Hotel; biggest hotel in Africa, rebuilding of the dilapidated structure is no much for him.

The Abetifi Member of Parliament recommended that, after completion, all donated monies should be used to resource affected traders to start business.
