Spread the love

Nana Kwabena Oppong Kyekyeku Otumfuo’s Bonkum Sekyere Sanahene has stated that he would be the proudest father if he could persuade his son to join the Freemasons, of whom he is a member.

The traditional ruler, an ordained bishop and the founder of Palace Praise Chapel, said that having a son who is a Freemason would be the best day of his life.

He made this statement in an interview with host Kwabena Agyapong on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM today, Friday, June 14, 2024.

He was asked if he would love to recommend someone to be initiated into the Freemasons, and in his response, he said he would love to have his son as a mason.

“I’d love to have a son who is a mason. That would be the happiest day of my life. It brings men great satisfaction to have their sons join the fraternity. It is every mason’s priority to have their sons join the brotherhood.

The fraternity treats such individuals preferentially. Some members shed tears of delight when their sons join the Freemasons. They consider it a wonderful occasion because they believe their children have grown smarter and more equipped to take responsibility for the family, he said.

The bishop stated that even if he is overjoyed and dies as a result of his son joining the Freemason, it will give him peaceful and eternal rest.

When asked what he would do if his son refused to join the Chief, who is originally known as Elvis Oppong, Sulemana said, “That would not be a problem. I would not be disappointed or have a concern about that. But I can tell you that I have a son who is proud and ready to join the Freemasons. Even my daughters are prepared to join,” he concluded.
